Who Guards
Our Community
While We Sleep?
For generations, Cowikee Volunteer Fire Department has stood ready — neighbors protecting neighbors in Eufaula and the surrounding Chattahoochee County.
Rooted in Service,
Driven by Purpose
Cowikee Volunteer Fire Department isn't just a first responder team — it's a family of men and women who chose to dedicate their time, their training, and their lives to protecting the communities of Eufaula and the surrounding area.
Founded in 1978, our department has grown from a handful of dedicated volunteers into a well-equipped, professionally trained force of over 35 members. We respond to structural fires, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, and natural disasters — always within minutes of the call.

More Than Responders —
We're Your Neighbors
Every member of Cowikee VFD lives and works right here in Eufaula. We're the teachers, shop owners, and families who answer the call not because it's our job, but because it's our community.
We host annual open houses, participate in parades, and partner with local schools to teach fire prevention. Your support — through volunteering, donations, or simply knowing our number — makes everything we do possible.
